F22 MFAW-VT
Attending this event?
This is the starting template for the Fall 2022 MFA in Creative Writing Vermont Residency. The residency theme is "Transparency."

Hello Danita,
In this draft template, F22 dates have been applied to S22 sessions.
This F22 SCHED draft begins with a mix of Asynchronous and Synchronous New Student Orientation (NSO) sessions from July 10 - 14, 2022.  MFAW-VT new students will attend these sessions along with MFAW-WA new students. The Asynchronous NSOs will continue to be available through July 29th, when the MFAW-VT residency begins. Please also note that your semester starts July 15th, two weeks prior to start of the residency.

As you work in this draft, please be aware that:
  • Sessions that happened in S22 have been stripped of most details and are marked "Carried over from S22." You will need to determine which ones stay and get updated and which ones need to move or be deleted.
  • F22 Faculty and Student Workshops (submitted by Workshop/Event Forms that are viewable in this collection sheet) appear in July 10th as PLACEHOLDERS. You will need to move them to where you want them to be in the July 29-August 5th residency.
  • I have embedded notes and questions in many session titles and "pinned" them so you will know where decisions need to be made.
  • Please check with Stephen P, Stephen M, and JuPong about which sessions will be shared and times to avoid overlapping with one another. Some sessions you shared with JuPong in S22 were carried over for you to discuss.
  • Your commencement is currently scheduled for 4-5:30pm on 7/31 and MFAIA-VT’s is 1:30-3pm. You will need to discuss plans surrounding the ceremony, i.e. shared commencement lunch (any special requests for Dining Services?) OR a separate reception for your program only?

NOTES ABOUT EDITING YOUR SCHED:

  • Designated Administrators will go to "View Control Panel" and "Schedule" (under the planet icon) to get to the schedule-editing screen.
  • While in the editing screen, hover over individual listings to see the Edit button and a pull-down menu that allows you to View, Unpublish, Pin, Duplicate or Delete.
  • You can also use the magnifying glass icon to search for sessions that contain the same name (i.e. "faculty meeting"). This makes it easier to see all of those sessions at once and edit them more easily and consistently.
  • I suggest you start by looking at these searches: "Carried over from S22", "PLACEHOLDER", "Faculty Meeting", and "Advising."
  • Once you have made a decision about the placement of a session, please "unpin" it. You can then replace the "Carried over from S22" Event Type with a category that makes sense to you. (I can help you clean up those categories to make them more to your liking).
  • If you have other sessions that you want to add, but don’t know what dates/times to assign yet, you can add "PLACEHOLDER" to the titles and place them temporarily at the top of the SCHED on July 10th. It’s easier to find Placeholders when they’re kept in one place.
  • I recommend using "Unpublish" to indicate sessions to be removed and "Pin" to indicate sessions that need to be discussed or edited as soon as updated information is available.
  • If a session is up-to-date and needs no further work, please "Unpin it".
  • If you have questions or want a quick tutorial about editing in SCHED, contact Jackie at academicservices@goddard.edu. You may also find answers in SCHED tutorials such as https://sched.com/guide-category/setup/
